TERMS OF COMPETITION

DIVISION 1 AND DIVISION 2

Daily Prizes:  Daily Nett prizes as per normal daily awards including ball rundown.
Tournament Prizes:  Divisions 1 and 2 Winners & Runners Up.

The event is a closed championship. Entry is available to financial members of Gainsborough Greens Vets Association who have played a minimum of 3 Vets competition rounds in the 12 months preceding the first round.  Other players are eligible to win daily prizes.

The Championship will be two rounds of 4BBB Stableford format.  Pairs may be single or mixed gender.  Men will play from the White Tees, Ladies from the Red Tees. The competition will be played in two Divisions.  Daily prizes will be calculated using daily calculated handicaps, as normal.

Inclement Weather:  If play is suspended, Players must mark their ball where it lies and Players should assemble at the club house.  If conditions determine no further play is possible on that day, the entire round will be cancelled.  The match committee, in conjunction with Gainsborough Greens Pro Shop, will determine further action necessary to conclude the Championship.

Divisions: Divisions will be determined by the Handicaps of the 1st Round. Division 1 is Combined Handicaps up to and including 34; Division 2 is Combined Handicaps 35 and above. Handicaps will not be frozen, results of round 2 will simply be added to the results of round 1 to determine placings.

Rules and Ties:
Rules of the R&A and Gainsborough Greens local rules will apply to the Championships.
All ties will be determined by the Golf Australia countback system.  There will be no playoffs.

Protests for round 1 may be lodged to any member of the match committee, in writing, within 24 hours of the conclusion of the round.  Protests for round 2 may be lodged verbally to any member of the match committee within 30 minutes of holing out on the 18th.  Protests lodged outside these times will not be entertained. The competition is closed when the final round scores are released to the Gainsborough Greens website (results section).

Match Committee:  Gainsborough Greens duty professional, Vets Captains and Vets President.
The Committee reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time including the right to rearrange or alter round dates.  The decision of the Committee is final in all matters.
