Additional Local Rule - 18th Hole
This option is available only to Vets members playing in Thursday Vets Stroke rounds only. It is not to be used at any other time including Vets Stableford or Par events.
Penalty Area at the front of the mens tee box on the 18th hole.
When playing the 18th hole, if a ball is in the penalty area directly in front of the mens tee box on the 18th hole, including when it is known or virtually certain that a ball that has not been found came to rest in the penalty area, the player has these relief options, each for one penalty stroke:
Take relief under Rule 17.1, or
As an extra option, drop the original ball or another ball in the dropping zone. The dropping zone is the area marked by ground staff adjacent to the ladies’ tees box. The ball is to be dropped in accordance with the rules of golf and not teed-up. The dropping zone is a relief area under Rule 14.3.
